NEW STORE IN LONDON,
ONTERIO September had April
and team opening a new store in London Ontario in the White
Oaks mall at 1105 Wellington rd, near the Bradley street entrance.
Beautiful wooden floors and walls with painted poems were part
of the new décor. One of our first customers was a woman who
drove all the way from Detroit to attend the opening. She particularly
loves pinks and wine colors and stocked up on a new fall wardrobe.
Another customer who was buying an outfit for her baby daughter,
told April the story of losing her twin brother last year –
he was an emergency response medical person who was involved
in a tragic accident, while responding to somebody's emergency.
She was shopping with her mom [who sported a small angel on
her blouse] and they declared that they were proud of each other's
resilience and strength.
DANICA VISITS
The Danica/Now Design team of Jeremy Braude and Donna Andonian
spent several days in Vermont last week selecting the fall 08
table linens collection. It was a stimulating two days with
Helene Hamel [la Cache], Donna Larrabee, Jatinder Kaur and Camille
Cornell [April Cornell stores and design] participating in the
selection – a lot of design minds in one space!
RUNNING IN "CONCERN
INDIA RUN" AS DREAM TEAM MEMBER October
28th april will be running [fast walking] with the Concern India
Dream Team – a half marathon fund raiser for charity in new
Delhi. Cornell Overseas employees will be on hand to cheer her

April's Weekly Column at the Giftware News

Who is Danica?
 Danica
will be representing the April Cornell table linens in Both
Canada and the United States beginning fall 2006. Their American
division is called Now Designs.
I don't know how many of you know this but our roots are in
Canada, we started our company, a second floor location on Greene
Ave in Montreal more than 30 years ago. It seemed serendipitous
to meet another company (well known for their woven table linens)
that also had its roots in Canada. You can imagine a collection
as important to me as our table linens needed a quality home,
our painterly linens needed a company that could represent the
natural colorful and artistic style that has been developed
over thirty years, we also needed a company that had a reputation
for integrity and quality. We wanted a company that would commit
to the April Cornell Brand and represent it with the same passion
and love that our customers do. I think we have found that partner
and that company in Danica. They have acted very quickly,
not wanting to miss a season and will be presenting a full fall
collection in all the major USA and Canadian markets this upcoming
season. I am proud to be represented by Danica, and also
thrilled that my table linens will be in the marketplace again.
