You have no idea how excited I am that you are back!!! I can’t wait to order spring dresses for my girls from your website. I have 3 girls that still dress alike everyday and April Cornell dresses are one of my favorites. Thanks for coming back and Good Luck!!!

Dear April, I am writing to you to find out if I will be able to see your line of children/adult cloth and other on line, because our Miami store at the Falls closed. We used to buy there. I am a local pediatrician here in Miami. And love your cloth. I believe that children need to be children and your cloth gave us the opportunity to make our children shine as children among flower and nature prints. I loved the simplicity and elegance and so did my Daughter. We really miss your store here!!!! Let me know if there will be a way to still shop for your merchandise... we used to do a lot of mommy and me outfits. Thanks!

I'm so happy to click on and find out April stores were able to open and the opportunity to see her wares online coming soon! I still love wearing all the clothes I bought last year and have been faithfully waiting for her line to return to all of her appreciative consumers like me.

Just wanted to let someone know I truly miss our April Cornell stores in Towson and Annapolis, MD but am happy April has been able to keep/open the three locations she has.

Please pass this on to her, if you will.
Christine

So glad you are back... I do miss the local shops at Bridgewater Commons Mall, NJ and Short Hills Mall, NJ. April Cornell was my daughter's and my favorite place and we did so mourn the closing. This past holiday season was difficult as we did most of our shopping there. Thank you for the postcard informing us of the website.
Yours truly,
Elissa

I was so happy to receive my post card that April Cornell is back again. I have missed the matching Mother/Daughter dresses and just your clothes in general. As I sit at my computer, my 6-year-old daughter is sitting in my lap wearing an April Cornell dress that she can still wear from before. I love the "old-timey" style of dresses that April Cornell produces. Thanks, and I've enjoyed looking online today.

I'm so glad you are back online at least! I missed this collection so much. These are timeless beauty designs, they are a pleasure to wear.
Thank you for being back.
Liliana

My friends and I are THRILLLED! Absolutely THRILLED that April is BACK! Oh it was terrible without her! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! We can NEVER have enough of classic April!

Hello, I have a daughter who has turned five this past year. My tradition for her since she has been born is for her to wear an April Cornell dress for her birthday. When we lived on the east coast I thoroughly enjoyed visiting the retail stores. I have now had to rely on the internet to keep up my tradition since we have moved to Utah. I was so disappointed when I went to purchase her dress for her fifth birthday. I thought I was going crazy as well! I couldn't find you!!!! Needless to say my daughter was not donning her April Cornell tradition. I couldn't believe how many people at her birthday party noticed and asked why! I believe they too thought I was crazy! April Cornell gone - how could it be!! Well, I'm happy to see that you are back and running! I can't wait to see my daughter in her April Cornell at her 6th birthday!!
Sincerely,
Shanon and Sloane (my daughter)

I can't tell you how thrilled I was to receive your mailing just now!!!!! I am estatic beyond words! Thank you April for coming back. You were greatly missed in my life. My 3 year old and 1 year old daughters will be back wearing your new dresses. And for some reason my husband wasn't as thrilled with this news. Hum? Wonder why????

Again, WELCOME BACK!!!!

I just received a postcard about the April Cornell website, and I wish to write that I am so thrilled to learn that I can now shop online for the beautiful products April Cornell creates! I was very heartbroken when the retail stores closed. I wish the company much luck and success. There are many like myself who treasure your quality and artistry.

Sincerely,
Lesley

Just want to thank you for sharing your talents with all of us! Two years ago my husband and I had to make life changes, sold the family ranch, moved to town, and I gave birth to our fourth child in my forty's.(Help) Anyway, all these changes at the time seemed so hard to handle at the time, now we see how God's hand was in all this. I tried desperately to make our town house warm and welcoming to my family and friends so I purchased you're bedding design of Classic florals-aqua/peachypink. Needless to say, the favorite of all the bedrooms! Everyone who comes always comments on that bedding. I would love to buy more pieces if any way possible. And truly hope you will continue designing bedding. You are so blessed with an eye for colors that touch the heart of those who love their home.
Thanks again.
Marian

Dear April,
I live in the Annapolis area and work in Historic Annapolis. How sad I was when your store closed! I have 8 granddaughters for whom I would purchase dresses on special occasions, tea party sets, adorable hats and little mousies. Your tablecloths adorne 2 tables on my screened porch. It was comforting to know if I needed a gift for a female, I could walk down the street! Thank you for coming back! I missed your deadline because I am sooo busy and have limited access to a computer. I will be on-line to purchase from you, although I am quite skeptical of purchasing on-line - - have not done that yet. Welcome back, April, and love your hair color!
Nancy in Maryland
P.S. One of your blueberry recipes is a staple at our annual 4th of July parties!

I'm delighted to get information about April Cornell. I was out of the country for a few months and returned to find that my favorite stores in Berkeley and Walnut Creek had closed. I was terribly sad as I had bought your linens for family members who had been very ill over the years and the colors gave them such comfort as I would sit and read with them. In the cases of my sisters, when they passed away from breast cancer, it was the linens that gave me good memories of happy conversations. Good wishes to you and blessing too!

Hi!!!
I received a mailing that you were online now and I absolutely love April Cornell designs. I first located AC in Canada, Banff I believe and it was love at first sight. It brought me back to my grandmother’s era. Every time I went to a town that had a store I had to go in. I had bought tablecloths, placemats, curtains, some clothes, jewelry, bed pillows, a wrought iron hamper, soft carryon, etc and given items as gifts. I was so sad when the stores closed. It was like a pleasant addiction when I saw that April Cornell sign, I just had to go in and enjoy the beautiful items in the store. . . Could you share this email with April and let her know how her colors and designs have impacted my life. I look around me and most every room has something of hers.

I wish I could get to a store, but I live in eastern NC, I will look online. Thank you for enriching my life with the gorgeous colors and designs that are a feast for the eyes.

Elaine

What a wonderful way to start the week - April Cornell is back!!!!!

I cannot tell you how much I have missed shopping in your stores and am grateful that I have so many pieces of clothing and coats from years past. And, no matter how many times I wear them (especially the reversible quilted coats), I receive compliments.

Welcome back!!!!!!!
-M

I am very happy to see the online website of April Cornell! I was lost when our April Cornell shop closed. I have been wearing her summer cotton sundresses for years and look forward to purchasing some new ones. Glad to see the lovely designs again.
June

Just a quick note to say that I am glad that you are online and still around.

I have some wonderful pieces of your clothing hanging in my closet that I enjoy wearing. I look forward to purchasing some new things!

Sincerely,
E. Brooks

I am thrilled to see you have a website. I have missed your boutiques in Bellevue Washington and the boutique in Redmond Towne Center. My sister-in-law introduced us to April Cornell designs when my almost 8-year-old was an infant. Since then my parents have invested in many outfits for my daughter. Now whenever they travel, they are on the lookout for your designs. I have never given away these dresses, as I have hopes my daughter will one day pass them along to her children. They are truly heirloom quality.
So glad to see you back.

Hello! The news on the website about being able to shop online for April Cornell has made my day even brighter. Our store in the Terra Linda Mall closed a while back and we were bereft. My niece (yep, another one) and I have chosen her Birthday and Xmas gifts from the stores and online from the time she was a wee thing until she recently turned twelve. It's a good thing my beautiful clothes from the shop are so well made that I've been wearing them for years.

My Xmas tree was decorated with beautiful crimson and gold glass ornaments and icicles that we bought several years ago.

Thank you so much for the news about coming back online, we are so very pleased and grateful for the efforts that made this happen.

Best wishes and love, Lynne

Dear April,

I miss your store in Seattle/Westlake Center so much!  I could ALWAYS find something special for me there.  I am having a hard time finding a new favorite store to shop so I am saving my money for when I go to Victoria BC in April 2007.  Also, your sales staff in the Seattle Westlake store was out-of-this world!  Just the best bunch of young women in one place and always so helpful.

Adrienne, Seattle WA

 Dear April,

I am most happy to see that you are coming out of the events that plagued you this past year.

Stopping in your LaCache stores, being from Canada, I am awaiting for your "wow collections" to resurface. I am not alone in this observation. Yearning for being able to say again..."I love this, and this, and this, and this....! Not so much of that, it seems still, as if your touch is not in the store's stock. I have been loyally wearing and warming our home, and friends homes with your beautiful wares for years, and years, and years, I have more Cornell Trading items in my wardrobe than anything else.

I do not seek a response, I send you this email as encouragement that your designs, from your paintings to your beautiful, beautiful romantic seasonal dresses, your touch, be rekindled, and know that all of us faithful clients out here eagerly await your specialness.

My girlfriend Jacquelyn practically bought out your remaining inventory at the April Cornell store we used to frequent at Fashion Island in Newport Beach, CA.

When we got the news that day that April Cornell was going out of business, she was devastated. I have never seen her so sad or so distraught about anything. It was nice to see the smile return to her face when she learned that your online store would be returning after the first of the year, 2007.

It's as if your choice of colors and patterns were made specifically for Jacquelyn. Her closet is full of your wonderful and simply beautiful clothes. I'll never forget the first time we ventured into that location at Fashion Island. She must have certainly made the Guiness Book of World Records that day for consecutive sighs! She made comments like "Oh, isn't this beautiful," "This is so feminine," Oh look, it's a dress cut on the bias." She loved everything about your store and your clothing.

Congratulations on reorganizing your company. I can't express adequately how beautiful Jacquelyn looks when she wears your designs and how immensely happy you have indirectly made her through the years. Continued good success and we're both champing at the bit for the store to go online.

Best regards,
Sean, CA

Hi April,
I just love your dresses! I have 3 girls, and another baby on the way. Every year I
buy one new dress at La Cache for each of my girls. La Cache is my favorite store to go to when we go into the city. And I swear it is my husband's least favorite mostly because I'm in there for so long trying to decide which dresses to get from all the beautiful clothing to choose from. I love photography too, and have entered a small local fair with some of my pics and won a couple first and second place prizes. I wanted to share a couple of the pictures with you, because my girls are wearing your dresses in them.

Blessings on your business,
Joy

Congrats on all your expansion but I miss your store...I am an avid QVC shopper and a sophisticated new Yorker but your store was one of the few live retail experiences I still enjoyed and at least 4 times a year took myself to your store for an "artists date "with myself and basked in the environment and lifestyle you created. I am also a plus size woman and am accustomed to having at least 5 of your dresses in rotation at all times. Because they don't last more than a season or 2 I'm starting to freak out at the specter of no supply.

I missed your QVC debut and, in fact, didn't even see a promo for it. I hope it went well but...I'm an addict who is cranky for her April Too fix so if you have no intention of resuming production...well I just won't think about that today.

Kelly, NYC

Dear April,

I am so very sorry for your troubles. I cannot express what great joy your clothes have provided me over the last several years (when I DISCOVERED AC!) I must have 50 of your dresses and I love every one of them. I refer to them as my "legacy dresses" which I hope to pass to my nieces one day (although I would prefer to see your continued success so that they might purchase their own...).

I will add my fervent prayers that I may soon shop in your boutiques again.

Just a few things to share in case it helps when you reorganize... I spent at least $2,000 each year on your clothes and accessories (SCARVES! Jewelry! Hats!) I slowed down when Kit's youthful line appeared.. as it did not flatter me. The bias cut dresses flatter only the slimmest, youthful figures, so you did loose some sales from me when these predominated (and I spend a lot more money than nubile teenagers who rarely appreciate such quality). I really loved the colorful non-cotton pants, though... you only had them for one season, though...I'd love to see those again! What made your line so completely irresistible to me was the attention to delicate detail... the pin tucks, the contrast linings, the color coordination between both seasons and different items in the same season... the buttons, the sweaters, the matching scarves...the wonderful net flounce slips.... oh, I could just cry... I cannot believe that I will never again have my lovely April Cornell stores...

Nevertheless, one must be grateful for the beauty you gave the world when you could...I will be always thankful for the beauty you brought into my little world... To enter your stores was to escape to another world. Thank you so very much, April...I shall miss you until your return.... but please let me know....Do your stores still operate in Canada?....Montreal would be lovely to visit!

Sincerely,
Mary ... a most fervent admirer!

While I was attending graduate school, I worked part time at an April Cornell store. I must say I've never enjoyed a part time job so much (in fact, there are a few full time jobs I didn't enjoy as much!). I loved the color and texture with which I was always surrounded--even the never-ending task of refolding tablecloths and pillow covers was not drudgery. The customers were an interesting and appreciative group, and I enjoyed my colleagues a great deal.

I still wear many of the clothes I bought there, and they are among my favorites in my closet. My bedding is April Cornell, and I have quite a collection of tablecloths, placemats, etc. (clearly, I didn't actually save much of my paycheck, but poured it right back into the store). One of my favorite parts of being an April Cornell employee was that I could talk about your humanitarian efforts and the fair labor practices of the company. Thank you, thank you, thank you for the inspiration and delight your artistic endeavors have brought to my life.

Best wishes in your new explorations,
Sue

I am a very long time fan of your designs. My first April Cornell and favorite dress in the world was bought at a small boutique in Williamsburg, Va. About 15 years ago. I still have that dress and dread it ever falling apart. Thankfully, your quality of workmanship is so great that won’t happen for a long time. Sorry your stores in the Washington, DC metro area have closed but looking forward to seeing more of your lovely and feminine clothing in the future.

Karren, Virginia

Hi April,

In the last four days, my sister in law and I have purchased five dresses and we love them. We love your clothing and we are very happy there will be an on line opportunity to purchase more next year. Keep up the good work. My sister in law is visiting Winnipeg from England and cannot believe the quality and selection of your line of clothes.

We will enjoy our dresses very much.
Thank you, Olga and Desley

April,

I LOVE your designs! Your vision is truly a gift.
Your current financial issues are just a bump in the road...........I've been there, too, except I'm not famous. Keep doing what you love to do and the rest will fall back in place.

Best Wishes, Judy

I am a very loyal customer in Philadelphia. My entire bedroom is April Cornell! I am trilled you guys are opening up here in Philadelphia!!!

Look forward to seeing everyone there.

Renae

We, on the Upper West Side are sooooo happy that you are coming back! Please let us know when you will reopen.

Sincerely, Janice

Hi April,

Today I was at Liberty Place in Philadelphia and was so happy to see that your store will be returning. I've shopped at your store for many years-I think since Liberty Place first opened. Good luck and welcome back!

Sincerely, Ricki

Dear April,

I was so sad to see your store closed at the Westlake Mall in Seattle. It was pretty much the only place where I could find attractive clothing for real women of all ages and sizes. If you can operate a web site with your clothing designs available via mail, that would be fantastic! I will visit your stores if I am ever in the area of one, and I do hope you'll consider opening retail stores again gradually in some of the larger cities.

With best wishes for your future,
Mary R.

Dear April,

I was so happy when I heard you would be designing quilt fabric for Moda as I am a quilter & pattern designer. I was so anxious to see what your first collection would be. I absolutely fell in love with your Poetry collection and couldn't wait to make a quilt with those fabrics but heard they wouldn't be out for several months - in April of course. I couldn't wait & when your charm pack squares came out first I bought several of them to get started with the quilt. Then I had to wait for the actual whole fabric for my border fabric which I now have. Your unfinished quilt has been on my design wall for the last few months but can't wait to see it finished. I hope your future in the quilting world continues for a long time! The best of luck to you.

Sincerely, Sandy

Dear April,

Thank you for the myriad of wonderful and colorful designs you have created over the years. I spy your treasures when shopping on auctions. My heart is lifted by seeing your precious designs in my home. I have an overflowing drawer full of your tablecloths. For every special occasion, for holidays, my home is transformed by your lovely designs. I had the Herb Society meeting at my home one hot day in August - the heat had made my garden a disaster - I was saved by your lovely floral cloths which graced the kitchen table, the dining room table and the patio tables along with fresh flowers, cool drinks and food - they saved me for the garden club meeting. Members strolled from one table to the next struck by the beauty of your cloths. Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners on your lovely cloths are a tradition. Several of your pieces have gone to a friend of 40 years as gifts. She has sent me precious objects from your stores as gifts.

Liz

My Dear April,

I wanted to write a note to tell you how much you are loved and appreciated by your fans. I am 57 years old and have loved your clothing designs, linens and books forever. I am a professional gardener and when I come home from a long hot day and change into one of your pretty dresses, my heart lightens and my spirits lift. I have always been particularly fond of your vintage-inspired designs and I have some of your designs that go back several years.

Sincerely, RoseMary
