Invitations:
Cut out hearts from pink paper. Write the invitation on the classic heart design and include a few conversation hearts in the envelope.
Food:
Finger sandwiches shape with a heart cookie cutter (I suggest peanut butter and strawberry jelly).
A colorful pink and red fruit salad (strawberries, watermelon, raspberries, apples and pitted cherries).
A red potato salad (keep the skins on small red potatoes) and add cherry tomatoes and chopped red peppers.
Activities:
Decorate sugar cookies. Bake sugar cookies ahead of time in heart shapes. Cover a table in paper. Set out dishes of colored powder sugar frosting and candies. Be ready for lots of laughs, and a bit of a mess! (A warm and wet washcloth will take care of sticky hands).
Make Valentines. Pre-cut hearts and cards out of construction paper, and provide paper lace doilies, glue sticks, stickers, and fun colored markers.
Pink Ribbon Maze. Create a maze of different colored pink, red, and white ribbons. Each little girl gets her own ribbon. The giggling guests have to make their way through the maze you have woven to find their take home goody bag at the end.
Take lots of pictures!
