THE GIVING WORLD FOUNDATION GIVES
$10,000 TO THE RED CROSS DISASTER RELIEF FUND
Williston, Vermont
Wednesday, September 7, 2005 --- In response to the devastation
caused by Hurricane Katrina, The Giving World Foundation has donated
$10, 000 to the American Red Cross Disaster Relief Fund. This
fund provides food, shelter, counseling and other assistance to
victims of Hurricane Katrina.
“The devastation in the wake of Hurricane Katrina is beyond
words,” said April Cornell, Designer and Owner of April
Cornell and Co-Founder of the Giving World Foundation. “Our
thoughts are with all the victims struggling in the aftermath
of this disaster.”
ABOUT THE GIVING WORLD FOUNDATION: The primary mission of the
Giving World, through the Concern India Foundation, is to help
the disadvantaged in India become self-reliant. The Giving World
specifically targets funds to programs that support women and
children, because educating mothers and their children ultimately
influences the entire family, thus elevating the overall quality
of life. Knowledge is power, and basic issues such as sanitation,
health, nutrition, family planning, and economic welfare are an
important support for people in need. Ultimately, these projects
create a positive impact on the greater world community. |
